Project on hold for near future.

The decision has been made to place the Gaming Ireland protect on hold for the time being. The reason for this decision is a lack of time on my behalf. Unfortunately I have other commitments which must take precedence.

Another reason that I am putting the project on hold is that I am keen to stop the fragmentation of the community and feel that we can focus our efforts better using the Gamecon platform. As most of you know there has been a joint effort by the Gaming Ireland and Gamecon teams over the past two years and this is something that we do not want to suffer by way of this decision. I have no intention of stepping back from Gamecon. In fact I see this decision as a means for me to focus on it even further. When Gaming Ireland returns it will most likely be under the GI/Gamecon umbrella.

The project will return however I cannot say when and feel that it is important to not waste the time of our members with claims of revamps and upcoming improvements.

I would like to thank those who have been involved in Gaming Ireland over the years and hope to see you all again soon when things get back up and running. I also urge you to join the Gamecon forums if you have not already.
